As part of the America the Beautiful Quarters Program®, the U.S. Mint introduced the America the Beautiful Quarters Three-Coin Sets to honor the Nation’s national parks and other national sites.
The White Mountain National Forest coin is the first quarter of 2013 and the 16th overall in the America the Beautiful Quarters® Program.
Each three-coin set features an uncirculated quarter from the U.S. Mint at Philadelphia, an uncirculated quarter from the U.S. Mint at Denver and a proof quarter from the U.S. Mint at San Francisco with images specific to each national site. The coins are held in a durable plastic card that features a picturesque image and a brief description of the site and the coin, as well as a Certificate of Authenticity on the back of the card.
