Code Talkers played an important role in World War II. Celebrate American history with this Navajo Code Talkers Bronze Medal.

This medal is a bronze duplicate of the Congressional Gold Medal awarded to Navajo Code Talkers at a ceremony at the U.S. Capitol Building on July 26, 2001, in recognition of their dedication and valor.

The obverse of the medal features two Marine Navajo Code Talkers communicating a radio message. Centered along the top of the medal is the inscription “NAVAJO CODE TALKERS.” Centered along the bottom is “BY ACT OF CONGRESS 2000.”

The reverse bears the Navajo Marine Corps emblem with “USMC,” the U.S. Marine Corps eagle, globe and anchor emblem, and “WWII” centered along the top of the medal. Centered along the bottom is the inscription “Diné Bizaad Yee Atah Naayéé’ Yik’eh Deesdl íí,” which means “The Navajo Language Was Used to Defeat the Enemy.”
