The 2019 America the Beautiful Quarters Three-Coin Set™ – Lowell National Historical Park is the first of five sites to be honored in 2019 and the 46th overall in the America the Beautiful Quarters® Program. During the Industrial Revolution, there was rapid development in Lowell as it became a premier industrial site. Ten large factories were constructed, and the area witnessed a population growth from 2,500 to 25,000 people.
The reverse (tails) design depicts a mill girl working at a power loom with its prominent circular bobbin battery. A view of Lowell, including the Boott Mill clock tower, is seen through the window. Inscriptions are “LOWELL,” “MASSACHUSETTS,” “2019,” and “E PLURIBUS UNUM.”
Each three-coin set features an uncirculated quarter from the Philadelphia Mint, an uncirculated quarter from the Denver Mint, and a proof quarter from the San Francisco Mint. The coins are held in a durable plastic card that features a picturesque image and a brief description of the site and the coin, as well as a Certificate of Authenticity on the back of the card.
