The Ho-Chunk Nation Code Talkers 1.5 Inch Bronze Medal is a smaller bronze duplicate of the Congressional Gold Medal awarded to Ho-Chunk Nation Code Talkers at a ceremony at the U.S. Capitol Building on November 20, 2013, in recognition of their dedication and valor. The medal measures 1.5 inches in diameter.
The obverse design features a Code Talker communicating a message. Inscriptions are "HO-CHUNK NATION CODE TALKERS" and "WOINUXAA HITÉTÉ," which translates to "talking secretly."
The reverse design features a variation of the Ho-Chunk Nation seal, which includes an eagle, a bear, a peace pipe and a war club. An outline of Wisconsin is also included, signifying the tribe's historical attachment to the state. Inscriptions are "WORLD WAR II," "SOUTH PACIFIC" and "ACT OF CONGRESS 2008."
