2024 Harriet Tubman Silver Dollar
The 2024 Harriet Tubman Silver Dollar Coin is a reminder of Harriet Tubman’s pivotal role as the Conductor of the Underground Railroad. The coin’s design incorporates elements that establish a connection to this era, including Tubman extending her hand, silhouettes crossing a bridge formed by clasping arms, and the presence of the Big Dipper that points to the North Star guiding them to freedom.
2024 Harriet Tubman Half Dollar Coin
The 2024 Harriet Tubman Half Dollar Coin tells the remarkable story of Harriet Tubman, as a scout and spy for the Union Army. During the Combahee River Raid, she became the first woman to lead an expedition when she and 150 African American Union soldiers fearlessly rescued more than 700 enslaved people.
The coins obverse showcases Tubman at the forefront of two Civil War-era boats, while the reverse portrays her holding a spyglass, symbolizing her heroic contributions during the U.S. Civil War.
