The 2008 New Mexico Official First Day Coin Cover is the 47th in the series. This limited-edition cover – only 35,000 will be produced – features two New Mexico quarters from the first day of mintage – March 3, 2008. Each cover includes two quarters, one each from the United States Mints at Philadelphia and Denver, on a handsome display card with the U.S. 41-cent American Flag postage stamp. The postmark of April 7, 2008, Zia Pueblo, NM marks the day the New Mexico quarters were first released to the Federal Reserve Bank and to the public.

To ensure that all members of the public have fair and equal access to United States Mint products, any order placed prior to the official on-sale date and time (May 8, 2008 12:00 Noon ET) shall not be deemed accepted by the United States Mint and will not be honored.
