This silver dollar commemorates the San Francisco Old Mint, often referred to as "The Granite Lady," which not only survived the earthquake and fire in 1906, but played an important part in the city's recovery efforts. Click here for more information about this program.

Metal composition of the coin is 90% silver and 10% copper. The coin's diameter is 1.5 inches and it weighs a minimum of 26.73 grams.

The San Francisco Old Mint Silver Dollar is limited to a total of 500,000 coins.

Surcharges from the sale of this coin are authorized to be paid to the San Francisco Museum and Historical Society for the purposes of rehabilitating the Historic Old Mint in San Francisco as a city museum and an American coin and gold rush museum.
