1999 Connecticut Official First Day Coin Cover (Q14)

This wonderful collector's item features two Connecticut quarters from the first day of mintage --September 17, 1999. Each cover includes quarters from both the Philadelphia and Denver mint facilities on a handsome display card with a 33-cent Flag over City postage stamp. The postmark of October 12, 1999 in Hartford, the capital of Connecticut, marks the day the first Connecticut quarters were released to the Federal Reserve Bank and to the public.
The Connecticut quarter features the "Charter Oak" here Connecticut's charter was hidden in 1687 when a representative for King James II demanded its surrender.
