Collect or share the three-coin set of the 2012 Volcanoes National Park Quarters – one each from the Denver, San Francisco, and Philadelphia Mints. The reverse (tails side) design of the coin depicts an eruption on the east rift of Kilauea Volcano, capturing the magnificent beauty of the volcanoes.
The Hawai’i Volcanoes National Park Quarter is the fourth to be released in 2012 and the 14th overall in the America the Beautiful Quarters® Program, which honors the Nation’s national parks and other national sites.
Established as Hawai’i National Park in 1916, Hawai’i Volcanoes National Park displays the results of 70 million years of volcanism, migration and evolution – processes that thrust a bare land up from the sea, creating unique ecosystems and a distinct human culture.
Each three-coin set features an uncirculated quarter from the U.S. Mint at Philadelphia, an uncirculated quarter from the U.S. Mint at Denver and a proof quarter from the U.S. Mint at San Francisco with images specific to each national site. The coins are held in a durable plastic card that features a picturesque image and a brief description of the site and the coin, as well as a Certificate of Authenticity on the back of the card.
The America the Beautiful Quarters Three-Coin Set™ is also available through the U.S. Mint Product Enrollment Program. Visit our Product Enrollments page for more information.
