Each 2014 Kennedy Half-Dollar 200-Coin Bag contains 200 circulating coins – 100 coins minted at the U.S. Mint at Philadelphia and 100 minted at the U.S. Mint at Denver that have never been placed into circulation. The design inscriptions on the obverse (heads) of the 2014 Kennedy Half-Dollar Coin are “LIBERTY,” “IN GOD WE TRUST” and “2014.”
The obverse design of the half-dollar features a 1963 portrait of President John F. Kennedy by U.S. Mint Sculptor-Engraver Gilroy Roberts. The reverse (tails) design, by U.S. Mint Sculptor-Engraver Frank Gasparro, depicts a heraldic eagle with shield, reminiscent of the presidential seal.
Please Note: U.S. Mint coins are rolled by an automated machine process and not by hand; thus, we cannot guarantee that the obverse (heads) or reverse (tails) of a coin will be at either end of a coin roll.
