Collect or share the three-coin set of the 2012 Denali National Park and Preserve Quarters – one each from the Denver, San Francisco, and Philadelphia Mints. The reverse (tails side) design of the coin features a Dall sheep with Mount McKinley rising in the background.
The Denali National Park and Preserve quarter is the fifth to be released in 2012 and the 15th overall in the America the Beautiful Quarters® Program.
In 1980, the park was expanded from two to six million acres, including preserve lands, and the name changed from Mount McKinley National Park to Denali National Park and Preserve. Today’s boundaries still include the awe-inspiring 20,320-foot Mount McKinley, the tallest mountain in North America.
Each three-coin set features an uncirculated quarter from the U.S. Mint at Philadelphia, an uncirculated quarter from the U.S. Mint at Denver and a proof quarter from the U.S. Mint at San Francisco with images specific to each national site. The coins are held in a durable plastic card that features a picturesque image and a brief description of the site and the coin, as well as a Certificate of Authenticity on the back of the card.
The America the Beautiful Quarters Three-Coin Set™ is also available through the U.S. Mint Product Enrollment Program. Visit our Product Enrollments page for more information.
