Collect or share the three-coin set of 2012 Chaco Culture National Historical Park Quarters – one each from the Denver, San Francisco, and Philadelphia Mints – to collect or share. The Chaco Culture National Historical Park Quarter is the second to be released in 2012 and the 12th overall in the America the Beautiful Quarters® Program.
This historical park in New Mexico features Chaco Canyon, which was a major center of Puebloan culture between A.D. 850 and 1250. The reverse (tails side) design of the coin illustrates a view to the west of two elevated kivas that are part of the Chetro Ketl complex. The design also shows the north wall of Chetro Ketl and the north wall of the canyon.
Each three-coin set features an uncirculated quarter from the U.S. Mint at Philadelphia, an uncirculated quarter from the U.S. Mint at Denver and a proof quarter from the U.S. Mint at San Francisco with images specific to each national site. The coins are held in a durable plastic card that features a picturesque image and a brief description of the site and the coin, as well as a Certificate of Authenticity on the back of the card.
